The successful candidate will:
Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients. Establish credibility, influence where appropriate and provide excellent client service;
Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing briefs for submission to a supervising lawyer in the firm;
Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documents;
Conducting legal research in legislation and case law;
Draft contracts, legal memorandums, papers, reports, presentations etc.
Prepare fee matter estimates and quotations;
Performing due diligence in legal matters;
Provide legal advice on respective areas of civil law;Participate in client’s meetings, provide the substantive input and draft the preliminary opinions;
Help in preparing various legal documents;
Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project;
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen;
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues;
Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters;
Acquire skills and knowledge in legislation research, legal analysis and legal writing skills;
Develop your technical skills on a daily basis by supporting projects and by interaction with our professional team;
Work on developing internal relationships and your PwC brand.
What we are looking for:
A top graduate degree with major in Law;
An LL.M. degree from overseas (preferably US or leading European) University would be an advantage;
Attorney, member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association is an advantage;
1 to 3 years of professional experience from a leading law firms as a practicing (consulting) lawyer; Excellent research, drafting and writing skills. A record of undertaking research and writing of legal memorandums, papers, reports, presentations will be an added advantage;
Ability to write simply as part of outreach and advocacy, while also skilled at serious research-based writing;
Ability to formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions;
Strong command of spoken and written Azerbaijani, English (Russian will be an advantage);
Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point);
Strong analytic and good problem structuring skills;
Strong communication and negotiation skills;
Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be effective independently;
Willingness to undertake new and challenging tasks;
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
