Security is a foundational part of Mojang Studios . As the Director of Security Operations, you will be responsible for building a robust and sustainable plan for Mojang’s efforts, in shipping and maintaining secure experiences. In this role, you will work with teams across the studio and greater Microsoft to help prioritize the right next investments, and you will be responsible for building out artifacts (dashboards, reports, etc.) to help keep stakeholders and the overall studio informed and aligned on our collective progress.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- OR 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response
- 3+ years working with Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- 3+ years of large cross-team product management experience
- 3+ years working in Azure Kusto/PowerBI, Tableau, ElasticSearch or similar system
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP CISA CISM SANS GCIA GCIH OSCP Security+
- 2+ years leading a security function (e.g., Security Operations Center [SOC], threat and vulnerability management [TVM]).
- Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field OR 9+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and anomaly detection.
Security Operations Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
