Job Summary:The Senior Director, Information Security Reliability Engineering will lead the transformation of the InfoSec Operational Excellence team into the Infosec Reliability Engineering team. This role is responsible for defining and implementing standards for high availability (HA) and reliability, developing real-time application health dashboards, improving architecture requirements, and enhancing the overall security posture of Walmart's information security operations.
What you will do:
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead the transformation of the InfoSec Operational Excellence team into the Information Security Reliability Engineering team.
Implement and maintain the strategic vision for Information Security reliability engineering, focusing on high availability and stability.
Collaborate with fellows, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define and implement observability standards and practices.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the implementation and management of standardized and automated change processes.
Enhance the change management process, ensuring compliance with InfoSec standards and delivering comprehensive reporting and analytics.
Establish a robust framework for incident and problem management, including post-incident debriefs and action items administration.
Coordinate InfoSec’s response and senior leadership response to P-Level incidents.
Reliability Engineering:
Define standards for HA and reliability across all InfoSec applications.
Develop and maintain real-time application health dashboards and integrated application performance monitoring.
Improve architecture requirements and builds, ensuring efficient use of cloud compute resources.
Support InfoSec teams in in meeting and maintaining operational excellence and HA reliability standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with Global Tech OE, Engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Work with teams owning services and applications to ensure required observability is implemented
Provide leadership and guidance to the on-call rotation from the Engineering group
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with a focus on operational excellence and reliability engineering.
Proven track record of leading and transforming teams to achieve high levels of operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong understanding of high availability, reliability, and observability standards and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Certification in Security+, GISF, CISM, or CISA, Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
