OVERVIEW
The Director of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity will oversee our infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies' design, implementation, and management. This role focuses heavily on infrastructure, strongly emphasizing Azure, AWS, infrastructure as code (IaC), and code reviews. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development, experience running high-volume websites, and a deep understanding of the appropriate blend of infrastructure with security.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions using Azure and AWS.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code practices to automate and streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance optimization.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect company assets and data. Manage a security operations team, that is responsible for detecting, researching, and remediating threats.
- Work closely with software development teams to integrate infrastructure and security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Implement monitoring tools and practices to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts to quickly and effectively address infrastructure and security incidents.
- Manage relationships with infrastructure and cybersecurity vendors to ensure the best solutions and services are utilized.
- Mentor and lead a team of infrastructure and cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats to ensure that the organization's security measures remain effective.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, PCI Compliance..
- Ability to analyze complex network issues for both wired and wireless systems.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Professional cybersecurity certifications such as AWS, Azure, Google certifications, CISSP are a plus.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- HashiCorp Certified
The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$300,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
