DevSecOps Platform Engineer, Lead
Key Role:
Spearhead DevSecOps platform engineering for a hybrid-cloud AI/ML and Big Data platform. Assist with deploying on-prem or cloud environments and provisioning Kubernetes, CI/CD, platform tools, computer networking, storage, and virtual networks. Assist the security team in aligning DevSecOps capabilities to meet Zero-Trust security architecture. Work with the requirements of software developers, AI/ML engineers, and Data Scientists to design DevSecOps pipelines that support their models and applications. Drive platform architecture into a modern DevSecOps platform.
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working in IT, cybersecurity, or software development roles
3+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles enabling modern software development platforms
Experience designing DevOps or DevSecOps platforms and pipeline architecture
Experience deploying and managing a Kubernetes platforms, such as Rancher RKE2, Red Hat OpenShift, or Azure EKS
Experience managing enterprise Linux operating distributions, such as RHEL 8/9
Experience using Git and CI/CD to deploy containerized software applications and tools
Experience with deploying in on-prem, air-gabbed environments
Experience with cloud environments
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
Additional Qualifications:
Experience deploying AI/ML or Big Data infrastructure
Experience with DevSecOps tools, such as ArgoCD, Harbor, Artifactory, Sonarqube, Twistlock, Aqua Security, Istio or similar service mesh, HashiCorp Vault, cert-manager, Keycloak, monitoring or logging tools
Experience with Docker or Podman building containers
Experience with DoD Platform One, Big Bang, or similar software factories
Experience with cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience employing cross domain solutions
Experience with on-prem infrastructure platform, such as VMware or Dell Apex
Experience with SD-WAN
Experience with AWS SC2S, or Azure Secret regions is a plus
Certifications in Kubernetes, major cloud service providers like AWS, or DoD 8570 compliant certs are a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
