Role profile:
The main function is to improve efficiency between the LSEG business teams and the Cyber Security functions by devising and implementing automation, process, procedures and reporting that improve how the business engages with Cyber strategic plans, standards and policies.
This particular role is focusing on the penetration testing process to manage the scheduling of testing activities within Group. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the full penetration testing process, with a strong focus on coordination, tracking, and reporting.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Team is a highly transparent, adaptable, and effective team within Technology function. We enable the organization to deliver against its strategic aims by reducing cyber risk of significant security incidents and data breaches by continually working to improve the security posture of the organization.
You will join the Cyber Engagement team, which is a function within Cyber Security team to enrich and streamline the communication between Business and Cyber Teams to meet the group's strategic requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Coordination of Penetration Testing Schedule:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for all penetration testing activities.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, utilizing a deep understanding of the penetration testing process to align efforts with business and security needs.
Ensure penetration testing engagement is following the Cyber team standard engagement and quality processes.
Project Management and Tracking:
Monitor the progress of all penetration testing projects, applying insights from previous hands-on experience to anticipate and address potential challenges.
Ensure that testing activities are conducted within agreed timelines and budgets, applying a thorough understanding of the complexities involved in penetration testing.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and present detailed reports on the status, findings, and outcomes of penetration tests, leveraging knowledge of penetration testing methodologies.
Maintain meticulous records of testing activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation of scopes, methodologies, and vulnerabilities identified.
Quality Assurance:
Support the quality of penetration tests to ensure they adhere to internal standards, applying firsthand knowledge of effective testing strategies.
Facilitate post-engagement reviews, applying experience in penetration testing to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Team Leadership:
Mentor team members involved in the coordination of penetration testing, sharing knowledge and experience in penetration testing methodologies.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Vendor Management:
Serving as Point of contact for 3rd party testing vendors
Coordinate contract discussions, adherence to SLAs and Budgets
Evaluate vendor performance and collect feedback.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security.
In-depth understanding of penetration testing methodologies
Experience maintaining and developing automation using JIRA and Azure Dev Ops.
Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
Proficient in documentation, reporting, and compliance with cyber security regulations.
Relevant certifications in penetration testing or cyber security management are desirable.
PMP, Agile, PRINCE2, or other project management are a plus.
