Role
This role will support the continuous development of a digital environment in which merchants and issuers exchange enhanced data through Mastercard’s Identity Check ecosystem, identify the level of risk, and ensure the people behind the transaction are who they say they are. Identity Check is a Mastercard Authentication program leveraging EMV 3DS protocol, enabling greater security and a consistent, user-friendly digital payment experience. It reduces fraud, false declines, and unnecessary friction, meeting the need for simple and secure payments.
The ideal candidate will establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and actively support the acceleration of Identity Check adoption in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The Manager will also support initiatives and execute the Identity Check product strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Collaborate with the C&I LAC divisions to support 3DS adoption and optimization efforts.
• Drive tangible data-driven business outcomes at the product level, manage a quantified scorecard continuously monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators, and optimize product performance.
• Act as an expert, advocate for, and champion designated to internal and external stakeholders by clearly articulating the Identity Check value proposition.
• Structure, perform, and synthesize analysis to uncover insights demonstrating the value and performance of 3DS and value-added services and supporting our client recommendations.
• Work with different groups to advance and execute the strategic agenda.
• Engage in effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
• Capture clients' implicit business needs in addition to articulated requests and identify the most critical aspects of the problem to be solved.
• Effectively manage a pipeline of proposals from early lead stages to signature.
• Develop compelling presentation materials following well-structured storylines.
• Lead the Product Management Excellence (PME) process to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements.
• Proactively search for knowledge, data, and information by interacting with clients and other Mastercard areas (primary and secondary research).
• Partner with regional product teams, divisional management, and market development teams to execute product management and go-to-market initiatives within supported markets.
Key Qualifications
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate numbers into insights and tell a story behind them.
• Product management experience as a differential.
• Domain experience in authentication in the digital environment is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable leveraging data to monitor performance and identify opportunities, create plans to drive usage and revenues, and prioritize resources to deliver against the plan.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Open and creative mindset; comfortable with uncertainty.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and problem-solving/consultative mindset.
• Spanish and English proficiency required (Portuguese as differential)
• Domestic and International travel up to 25%.
