The Device Protection Research Team is searching for a skilled and motivated Security Research Technical Program Manager II to lead key initiatives in the Microsoft Defender team. The ideal candidate will have a propensity to action and a strong passion to help protect customers in the digital space. You will be part of a talented and diverse team, responsible for delivering best in class Endpoint security products. We are an industry leading threat research lab that does in-depth research with threats and exploits to help keep our customers safe. Weare committed to defending Microsoft customers from cyber-attacks as well as providing sophisticated tooling for securing enterprise data. Our mission is to help protect customers with truly innovative proactive protection, advise customers on emerging trends, and engage in valuable partnerships.
As a research organization, it’s our job to stay one step ahead of malicious adversaries and predict the threats of the future. We work with partners across Microsoft to innovate new approaches for detecting and tracking threats, attacker techniques, their tools and infrastructure. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Product Manager, or similar roles in the software industry.
- Experience working with security products, preferably in the cloud or endpoint security domain.
- Track record of delivering results, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across a large organization, influencing many functions and teams.
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
