We’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our cloud security, with a focus on Netskope CASB and DLP capabilities. You’ll also help manage the risks and controls around Generative AI tools, contributing to a significant uplift in our security.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of enhancing DLP capabilities—supporting policies, refining processes, and managing incidents. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Cyber Security, Service Desk, People & Culture, and business stakeholders to drive security improvements while ensuring a seamless user experience.
Beyond DLP, you’ll have the chance to work with a broad set of cybersecurity tools, including endpoint privilege management, vulnerability management, EDR, and identity solutions. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple security domains while being part of a supportive and knowledgeable team.
Why Join Us?
We’re a cloud-first organisation with access to leading security tools and technology.
You’ll work alongside a team of senior, mid-level, and associate engineers, gaining exposure to other Cyber disciplines like SOC, Risk, Education, Threat, Architecture, and Security Practice.
Our tech environment is collaborative and low on politics, with great leadership and a focus on solving challenges.
Plenty of opportunities to upskill—whether you’re an associate Cyber Security Engineer or a passionate technologist looking to pivot into CyberSec.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and maintain DLP solutions to monitor and protect sensitive data, including PI and Generative AI risks.
Define and enforce security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitor and investigate privileged activities, addressing any anomalies or security incidents.
Work with security teams to assess vulnerabilities, conduct security scans, and strengthen our overall security posture.
What we’re Looking For:
A background in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) are a plus.
Experience with DLP or related cybersecurity capabilities is ideal.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
A dynamic, curious, and proactive approach to learning and security challenges.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
We're committed to a safe, respectful and inclusive Nine. From day one, you'll be encouraged to bring your whole self to work and will be supported to perform at your best.
We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, and of all ages, genders, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures as we recognise the importance and value of diverse perspectives. Should you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please advise us when you apply.
Work rights: Please note to apply for this role you must already have the right to lawfully work and live in Australia.
