We are seeking a Principal Systems Security / DevSecOps Engineer to function as a key contributor for the Integrated Strategic Solutions Engineering team.
As a Principal Systems Engineer for DevSecOps, you will help lead a team to stand up and support the automated development pipelines for design, development, and validation of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) mission systems solutions used on our military customers’ aircraft and ground stations. This opportunity includes supporting one or both of the following platforms: E-4 and E-6. Primary responsibility will be to focus on establishing and maintaining a DevSecOps pipeline to design, develop, document, integrate, and test both hardware and software systems, ranging from black box to the complex end-to-end platform systems. This position will also be responsible for providing technical guidance to multidisciplined teams, leading effective meetings, cultivating and reinforcing group values, and identifying, analyzing and correcting technical problems.
Projects span the entire development lifecycle, including pursuit and order capture, trade study, system design, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirement traceability, use case development for software/hardware, systems integration, verification testing and qualification.
The candidate will work closely with fellow engineers, Technical Project Engineers (PEs), Product Line / Program Management, systems, software, hardware, electrical and support staff to increase automation, scalability, and reliability. This position will support defining the future of armed forces NC3 defense systems.

YOU will serve as a technology and systems engineering focal point for leadership and the customer for ISSE mission DevSecOps pipeline solutions.
YOU will lead, design, and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
YOU will mentor team in the development of functional, interface and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation.
YOU will lead and advise engineering managers, program managers, business development managers, product line managers, and component architects.
YOU will estimate, track, manage and report status relating to technical, cost, schedule, and risk performance for assigned scope of work which may span across multiple projects.

Qualifications you must have:
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Experience with common DevSecOps related tools Confluence, Artifactory, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS VMs, VMware vCenter/ESXi, or Hyper-V
Experience with Git Ops and version control software (e.g., Git)
Experience with DevSecOps tools with an emphasis on CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Istio, Neuvector, Kyverno, Docker etc.)
Qualifications we prefer:
Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD TOP SECRET level clearance
Experience with common programming and scripting languages, such as C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw CAMEO, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect
Ability to troubleshoot several Kubernetes deployed application such as GitLab, PostgreSQL, Gitaly, Redis.
Possess working knowledge of Kubernetes cluster storage and backup such as longhorn, minio, ceph etc.
Familiarity with Platform One/Iron Bank/Big bang and hardened container development and deployment
Familiarity with working on isolated/air gapped environment: Deployment and maintenance of the DevSecOps pipeline
Experience with access management and client account technical support (SSO, Keycloak, Appgate)
Experience and knowledge of Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud Compute

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
