HybridThe Cybersecurity organization, within Mission Systems Services, has an opening for a Senior Project Manager supporting the Cyber team’s operational and organization needs. The role will be responsible for driving the successful operations, enabling the cybersecurity team to deliver business-critical solutions to our engineering and program management office (PMO) environments. The scope of projects a candidate may anticipate leading include (but not limited to): You will support the team and programs by driving, managing, and organizing project activities, tracking key milestones, and maintaining project documentation.
A successful PM in this role will drive project execution from early inception stages to final completion through close partnership and collaboration with senior leadership, engineers, and PMO leaders to refine requirements, navigate project execution obstacles, and ensure project scope is delivered on-time and within budget. This position is onsite, located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This position is an Individual Contributor position.
** This position requires a Secret Clearance, is onsite in Richardson, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA and a relocation package is available if needed. **
What YOU will do:
Serve as a senior project manager for the Cybersecurity organization, leading complex and strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Assume ownership and accountability over planning, tracking, and coordinating projects tasks and deliverables alongside senior-level leadership.
Drive execution of high-priority cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, resource availability, and risk tolerance.
Provide strategic direction and decision-making across multiple concurrent projects, enabling long-term success of the Cybersecurity Get-Well Plan.
Own end-to-end project planning, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication at senior levels.
Proactively manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and provide transparency to leadership through structured reporting and performance metrics.
Deliver key insights and decision support to senior leaders, synthesizing complex issues into actionable plans.
Lead budget planning and resource management efforts, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
Champion project governance standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of project execution methodologies.
Represent the Cybersecurity team in high-visibility forums, driving alignment, trust, and forward momentum.
Mentor junior project managers and influence the maturity of project management practices across the organization.
Work with customers and stakeholders to identify and refine requirements, develop scopes of work, align on priorities, and deconflict blockers.
Provide regular project execution status briefings with customer, stakeholders, and various levels of leadership that conveys detailed overall project health, outlook, cost/schedule performance, and potential risks and opportunities.
Demonstrate project management principles proven in managing actions and scheduling interdependencies in support of large-scale programs, projects, or initiatives.
Qualifications you must have:
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree.
Working experience with financial budgets, project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project and Jira), presentations to senior leadership, metrics tracking
Excellent relationship skills with the ability to build positive relationships with technical and business personnel.
Demonstrated experience building and leading a multi-disciplined, matrixed team Substantial knowledge of Collins Aerospace, programs, projects, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Ability to travel up to 30%.
Qualifications We Prefer:
An active and in-scope Top Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Experience across the fields of Security, Cybersecurity, Digital Technology, Facilities, Program Management and / or related fields.
Experience leading project management efforts within Agile / SAFe Framework
Ability to understand and analyze complex business problems with minimal domain expertise in order to define and develop creative solutions.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
