Position Summary...
As a member of the Information Security (InfoSec) Global Tech Assurance team, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions/tooling to aide in our objective of creating automated processes and preventative/detective controls to ensure policy compliance. You will be responsible for designing and developing platforms to create consistent, verifiable, and automatic management of solutions/tooling that enable us and our stakeholders in automated detections of technical control anomalies or systematically testing for continuous compliance.

The Global Tech Assurance team collaborates with business partners, Governance, and Global Tech teams to ensure applications are properly deployed, monitored, and controlled to meet appropriate levels of compliance for industry, legal, governmental, risk and safety standards. We also work to create automated preventative and detective controls and processes as well as implementing systematic testing for continuous compliance to provide confidence key technical controls are functioning as intended.
What you'll do...
As a Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer – Global Tech Assurance Engineering, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Scope, design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance solutions to support our Technology Assurance initiatives
- Collaborate with team members to develop best practices and technical requirements for our monitoring platform or any software/tooling developed.
- Cooperate with 4ITB (Tech Assurance, Governance SME, Business SME, Tech Engineering team) team to influence improved product development.
- Design and Implement Infrastructure Solutions: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure solutions to support business needs.
- System Administration: Oversee the administration of servers, networks, and other critical infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Security Management: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect systems and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
- SOAR Implementation: Implement and manage SOAR solutions to automate and streamline security operations, improving incident response times and efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, providing expert-level support to ensure minimal downtime.
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and training to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data loss.
- Data Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
- Data Analysis: Analyze system and network data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on infrastructure status and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to support various initiatives and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve infrastructure and processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with senior engineers and other IT teams to support various projects and initiatives.
- Learn and Grow: Continuously develop your technical skills and knowledge through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
What you’ll bring…
- Experience in an infrastructure, systems, engineering, or development environment delivering operational excellence to highly complex distributed systems
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python (preferred), Go, Java, Shell, etc.
- Extensive Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of system administration, networking, and IT infrastructure. Proficiency with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Security Proficiency: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, with experience in implementing and maintaining robust security measures, including SOAR solutions.
- Data Management Expertise: Advanced skills in database management, data backup, and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
